So far, no complaints other than I just wish the chest pocket was a tad bigger. Will use it backpacking soon but the breathability lets me run in this shirt without overheating, so I imagine it will be fine for backpacking. Unknown on Sep 7th 2017
This shirt quickly became one of my favorite pieces of outdoor gear. It's comfortable, incredibly breathable, pretty sun-proof, and really tough. I've abused mine and after two years of use, it's finally getting a bit thin in the shoulders where my pack straps ride. I love the pull-up collar, and not that it matters, but it's pretty stylish. It works really well as a desert shirt, as it's incredibly breathable and provides good sun protection, although it's not a full-on sun shirt. The bamboo seems to work as it doesn't smell completely horrible after a few days of not being washed as many synthetics do. I like this shirt so much that I bought two extras when they went on sale, just in case SD decides to discontinue it again.
Two suggestions for improvement: 1) Offer more colors. How about Rust, Slate Gray, or light Gray? 2) SD, get your sizing right! I'm a solid medium, sometimes even a small, but I had to buy this shirt in large. Not a problem when you're trying it on in a store, but buying mail order is an expensive pain when you're paying return shipping. PaulW on Sep 5th 2017
I've already written a review about this shirt, but I had to pop back in to say I have 3 of them now and use this model exclusively for hiking and backpacking. It breaths well, looks awesome, is UV blocking, has a cool hidden zipper-pocket and is pretty much the greatest hiking shirt I've ever worn. Andrew Skurka told me about this model and he was right. Thanks! Highly recommended! Drew Holliday on Sep 4th 2017
The shirt is super comfortable and enjoyable to wear. And I definitely would buy another. I give it 4 stars because the first time I put it on a button popped off. I sewed it back on and proceeded to re-sew the other buttons too after noticing they were all held on by a couple threads each. Not what I would call quality craftsmanship. I wear a size small for other SD products (like their DriDown Hoody) and from other brands like Mountain Hardwear, Outdoor Research, and Patagonia. This shirt is cut so tight around my waist (31") that I should really be wearing a medium. Works if you want this to be a baselayer replacement but otherwise it's too tight to be stylish on me. Best hiking shirt ever. So glad they bought the long sleeve pack polo back cause I wear it four seasons. Dave on Dec 27th 2016
Outside of losing the buttons almost immediately this shirt has really held up. Breathable, neat collar feature, what's not to like? Unknown on Jul 1st 2016
