We have the Backcountry Duo 35 (down) for backpacking, and loved it so much we bought the Frontcountry Duo for canoe tripping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota. Weighs a bit more than the down version, but the synthetic fill is a safer option on the water. Had one night fall into the upper 30's, kept us warm. We paired it with Thermarest mattresses, one 25" wide, the other 20" wide. Fits the sleeves in the sleeping bag just fine, and we appreciated that the sleeping pads stay firmly in place, no more sliding off the pad in the middle of the night. Very happy with the bag. Like another reviewer mentioned, my wife and I wanted to be closer than 2 separate sleeping bags, and this worked perfectly. We were both very comfortable and warm in it. Obviously it isn't ideal for backpacking because of the weight and packed size, but works great if you're car camping or only hiking a short distance. The mattress sleeves are great for ensuring it doesn't move around. And what you get for price is phenomenal. Vijay on May 17th 2018
My partner and I had been looking for a 2 person sleeping bag for a while since we camp/backpack frequently and sometimes want to be closer than 2 sleeping bags allows. It's as great as it sounds! Feedback so far:
Size: This fits both of us comfortably, and with our 2-person backpacker tent the queen size version would have been too large.
Weight: As expected, it is bulky and a bit heavy, but honestly is about the same size as some folks' 1-person sleeping bag. Even for backpacking we can make do: one person carries the tent and the other carries the bed. If weight is a serious concern look at the backcountry models.
Quality: Definitely well made, we really like that it's zipperless so one person can get more cozy and the other can push the top fold off. It's new so I can't speak to the longevity of the synthetic. If you're going to use it for decades, you probably want the backcountry down.
Warmth: 35 degree + another person's body heat = more than sufficient.
Cons: Feels like the foot hole should have been on the top rather than the bottom. Cass on May 4th 2018
