    1. Sierra Designs=Long Haul Dependability

Purchased this as a gift. Did not field test. My understanding is that the warmth rating for this bag is closer to 30 degrees, vs. the 15 degrees stated. Purchased on SD website as closeout, so good value for the money.

I currently own a Sierra Designs Lite Loft sleeping bag, purchased in the mid 90s. I have used this bag continually over the past 5 years, and it has stood the test of time. I wash this bag monthly and it has retained loft. I also own a Sierra Designs POLARIS tent, a classic, roomy, bombproof, lightweight shelter.

I have owned products from Western Mountaineering, EMS, REI, North Face, etc. Sierra Designs manufactures products of excellent quality at fair prices. No more needs to be said.

    2. So far so good

I'm liking this sleeping bag a lot so far. It is roomier than most mummy bags and I find I can bend and fold my legs inside the sleeping bag. The dual zipper feature is nice for venting.

My daughter slept in it camping recently and the low was in the high 20s and she was warm all night in minimal layers (I did cinch the bottom of the bag with an elastic strap to make it shorter for her). I'm looking forward to trying it out myself on a cold night.

It's also been comfortable sleeping in indoors as well although rather warm for that purpose. There is a lot of loft and no down leakage yet. The zipper can get caught on occasion but it's not too bad. And the material feels soft. The color is more indigo than purple FYI.

And last but not least, I'm just under 5'6" and sometimes when sleeping on my back with my toes pointed I can feel the end of the bag. I think the length is perfect as I rarely sleep that way anyway but it might feel shorter for a taller person who likes to sleep on their back.

    3. Impressed so far

I just received this bag a couple days ago and was a bit worried as there were large areas without down and big down clumps in others. I tried to break up the clumps and distribute the down as best as I could. I then let the bag breathe for a couple days with occasional fluffing. The bag improved tremendously but I was still a bit worried about a few areas on the top that I feel are shy of desired distribution. I decided to give the bag a try last night out on my deck. I set up a Coleman cot, put on a pair of cuddl duds and hopped in. I live in Minnesota and while it isn't really cold here yet it did get below 22 degrees. I can't tell you how far below because I was warm and sawing logs.
The 22 degree reading was the temp when I got up after the sun was up. I am usually cold so this was a nice treat. A couple times I was pondering if I was too warm. I also sleep all over the place and a mummy bag is definitely not good for me but this bag was nice and roomy and I had great freedom to move around. I am a little chunky so that is saying something. I did not use a shelter of any kind, just the bag and took great delight in seeing the frost all over my bag when I woke up all toasty warm. I will be pushing this bag further later but very happy with my first test result. This bag was a good buy as I did get it on sale.

    4. Warm, light, good value.

This sleeping bag is warm and lightweight, a good value for the price. I am curious to test its durability and ability to dry quickly if it accidentally gets wet. on Sep 4th 2017

    5. Amazing bag

I am in love with this bag. It packs down great, keeps me nice and cozy, and the blanket type dual zippers make sleeping on my side comfortable. The side baffling holds heat on my hips when side sleeping. I'm 5'7" and its long enough as well. Great job! on Jun 15th 2017

    6. Fantastic Women's Bag

This sleeping bag is incredible. It packs down extremely small if you buy a compression sack. It is lightweight and comfortable. I was always cold backpacking until I bought this bag (a lot of factors go into this of course) and for once I didn't sleep cold. The fabric is silky and extremely comfortable. My favorite feature is the comforter-like top. Because it mimics the backcountry bed, I feel like I have a nice cozy blanket to sleep with, even though its just a sleeping bag. The hood and cinch feature is really nice as well for the colder nights. After many trips with this bag, I'm in love! Sierra Designs has truly created a fantastic product with this one. on Apr 17th 2017

    7. Customer Review

I have yet to use this outside, but I tried it out in my living room and the warmth factor seemed comparable to other 20F bags I've had. The integrated comforter is a huge deal for me. I've always hated the restriction of mummy bags, and almost pulled the trigger on buying a "backcountry bed" but was worried about the temp rating. I'm glad I waited! This bag is a great compromise between mummy and rectangular bags. The two zippers do seem like they may be finicky, but I doubt I'll be zipping them up all the way unless I'm camping below 35F since the comforter does a great job of tucking around my neck and shoulders. So excited to have a technical mummy bag with all the comfort of a rectangular bag! Nice job Sierra Designs. on Dec 7th 2015
