Our Gear-ologists :: Sarah Child

Fortunately, I've found ways to incorporate the outdoors in my professional and personal lives without burning out on its wonders. I've spent the last four years living in Eastern Kentucky, near the Red River Gorge, where I spent the majority of my weekends climbing, camping, or back packing. My love for the water, took me on multiple white water rafting trips to the New River Gorge and The Gaulley Rivers in West Virgina. My friends and I made several adventure trips out west, so last May I decided to pack my bags (and my gear) to make a home in Moab, Utah. Here, I'm able to camp, climb, boulder, skydive, backpack, mountain bike, and paddle. Currently, I'm working as a Wilderness Field instructor for Second Nature Wilderness Therapy Program in Duchesne. I live under a trap for eight full days in one of the following wilderness areas: Unitah Mountain Range, Reservation Ridge, or Nine Mile Canyon.
