We just finished spending about three weeks backpacking around Europe, staying in campgrounds along the way. We visited England (London), France (Versailles, Paris) and Italy (Milan, Verona, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Rome). We wanted to visit these areas, but were on a budget. Although staying in hostels crossed our minds, bunking with a bunch of people we don't know was not for us. We decided that camping might just be the solution, but did not have a good, trustworthy tent.
A few weeks before our trip across Europe, we purchased the Sierra Designs Hyperlight AST. It was amazing! It not only met all the expectations we had regarding its compact size, being incredibly lightweight and ease of set-up, but it went above and beyond what we could even imagine. The Hyperlight was small enough to fit inside our backpacks and not make us stand out too much (a great benefit when you are traveling). It also was one of the easiest tents we have ever set up (giving us more time to explore and see the sights). The Hyperlight had more square footage than we had expected (two of us including our backpacks fit inside with more than enough room). Almost every night we were in Europe it either rained or hailed on us. With the Hyperlight we stayed perfectly dry and warm. The tents also breathed extremely well and we did not have to worry at all about condensation. What a great tent! We are definitely hooked on Sierra Designs products from now on and hope that we will soon be able to return to Europe again fully equipped with your great products! Thanks again!
